Filler plants and boundary plants of the Padma Bridge Plantation Site.

In both sites, we have planted some filler plants for short term such as Guava, Lemon, Bokful, Mehedi,etc.Besides these we have planted Arhar (Cajanus cajan) at the boundary area for grazing protection. We have planted various  permanent fruits like Mango, Jack fruit at the 16 feet distance.Filler plants are planted between  permanent Fruit species.

There are two rehabilitation area one is Zazira Rehabilitation Area-4 and another is Sibchar Rehabilitation Area-5 under Sariatpur and Madaripur district respectively. This two areas have green zone. Social Forest Division, Faridpur covered green zone by planting saplings of various plants like ornamental, medicinal and fruit yielding.There are 8230 nos. saplings in the Zazira Rehabilitation Area-4 and 7820 nos.saplings in the Sibchar Rehabilitation Area-5. In both side percentage of fruit yielding plant saplings, forest plant saplings, medicinal plant saplings,fuel wood yielding plant saplings and ornamental plant saplings are 50,20,10,10,10 respectively. Social Forest Division, Faridpur is raised this plantation with the financial assistance of Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project. This plantation project duration is 2012-2015. Planted species are likely Mango, Litchi, Guava , Jack-fruit, Horitoki, Amloki, Bahera, Bel, Chikrashia , Krishnachura, Bakul, Safeda, Jamrul, Simul, Neem etc. Mohammed Ali Zinnah(Forest Ranger) and Md. Sahidul Islam (Forest Ranger) are the officer in charge in Zazira Rehabilitation Area-4 and  Sibchar Rehabilitation Area-5. Plantation are successfully completed with the supervision of Md. Zahidur Rahman Miah (Divisional Forest Officer).
